Turns out it's the latter. Tooth number 3 is cutting through the gum up top. Phew! At least he's not getting sick. So, we can tackle with the appropriate mitigation strategies.
In other news, he is really starting to get around a bit more, when he really wants to. He doesn't respond well to on-demand requests at crawling, unless you're a cat. Let's just say the cats are getting more exercise than they have in years. I shot a video yesterday, which I promise to edit and post soon, of him playing delightedly with a cup in the kitchen. He was fascinated with dropping it on the floor and making noise for a long time. We also made the switch to a big-boy car seat. He doesn't seem to know much difference but looks to be a lot more comfortable.
Tomorrow marks the start of a big push for Mike and I...we will diet, paint, unpack, and exercise during the month of September that will be celebrated the first weekend of October with a visit from Grandma Ellen and Great Aunt Marlo. There are several goals:
- Paint Guestroom #2 (already underway) to get rid of the navy blue ceiling and gummy sticky pads left behind by the removal to two sheets of metal stuck to the wall as magnetic bulletin boards.
- Complete the Garage unpacking so that both cars can be parked (hopefully - it's a wee smaller than our last garage) inside by the end of September
- Lose 10 pounds
- Unpack 75% of the basement (not that we have anything to replace the boxes with, but we will want to decorate for Christmas eventually)
And since no blog entry would be complete without at least one pic of Lukeman, here you go:

Yikes, slow-down - there is always time to do your 'goal' things. Enjoy Luke and especially don't worry about the 'guest' room. Doesn't seem to me like you're have "guests" in October, just 'family' :) Hugs to all,
Uncle Bob and Aunt Marlo
What delectable food do I see smeared all over Luke's face? Beets, perhaps? Yum, yum. Can't wait for October!!! Love, Grandma
